Production for "The Road", a big-screen adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy best-seller, and Oprah Book club selection, "The Road" has come to Pittsburgh.
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the Apocalypse is apparently here. A catastrophe has ruined the land, killed millions and left survivors to scavenge for food and shelter, cope with a steady fall of ash and--more alarmingly--try to avoid cannibals.
How appropriate...no wonder Pittsburgh's East End "hood" BRADDOCK was selected as a shooting location.
The movie is to star Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and a young Australian actor named Kodi Smith McPhee.
Hollywood had better keep their eye on Pittsburgh, with all these good Tax incentives Rendell is giving out to production companies.
