
Yeah.....I'm a beneficiary of Airline overbooking...As long as the airlines continue to practice bait and switch policies, you won't catch me objecting! Evidently airlines often overbook flights by 20% which will inevitably lead to the situation where there are more passengers than seats, at which someone will be coaxed and persuaded to volunteer their seat, by airline officials. The flight switch often involves the volunteers waiting for a later flight, but is usually rewarded by either airline credit or a free round trip. Guess what....I'll take that! Sorry Miss Rosa, but that's one seat I'll be giving up. Last time that happened I only had to wait an extra hour (which by the way is 5 mins. in airport time) and now I have a year to redeem the flight of my choice to anywhere in the "CONTINENTAL US"(except Alaska and Hawaii).......
Thanks again United...feel free to always overbook me...often.
